June 2013Telx Set to Open Data Centers in Portland and Seattle

PRT1 in Portland and SEA1 in Seattle, Set to Open in July 2013

New York, New York, June 26, 2013 — Telx®, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, cloud enablement services and 100% Uptime SLA data centers, will host grand opening celebrations of its new Portland data center, PRT1 on July 16th from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m., and its new Seattle data center, SEA1 on July 18th from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. The two events mark the official opening of Telx’s data centers in the Pacific Northwest.

At both events, attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry experts on topics such as data center operations; IT infrastructure technologies, financial services, as well as participate in a discussion about the current state of the data center industry and related fields. Cocktails and refreshments will be served, and tours of the new data centers will be given.

PRT1 in Hillsboro OR, sits a mere 15 miles from downtown Portland and provides in excess of 18,000sf of whitespace from a current building footprint of 52,000sf. The single story structure is expandable by another 20,000sf with a current 4.5MW service for IT load. It is unique in both its resiliency and efficiency. With a full 2N+1 UPS design, PRT1 can support client loads of 325 watts per square foot for power demanding applications. Its PUE rating of 1.3 employs an indoor air containment system that directs cold air to server needs followed by evacuating the resulting hot air outside the facility.

Telx's SEA1 facility, located in the Intergate Seattle campus facility just south of Seattle, Washington, is a fully-conditioned data center property with an estimated $110 million of conditioning investment to date, with 114,000 gross rentable square feet and 54,000 of data center white space. The building is currently served with 9MW with 5.4MW of IT load of power; however, it is upgradeable to high power availability from the campus. A modular deployment strategy will avail the facility the ability to offer 5-15KW power cabinet densities to customers with significantly less investment than would be required in a comparable situation.

The continued demand for both colocation and wholesale data center services from the Pacific Northwest business community has grown, ranging from companies in manufacturing, health care, information technology and communications, biotechnology and maritime. Telx's two Pacific Northwest facilities enable new and existing Telx clients to grow and expand their services in the region with premier facilities with industry leading 100% Uptime SLA s and 24 Hour completion guarantees on cross connects.

"The opening of our two new Pacific Northwest facilities is an exciting milestone for Telx as we continue to expand in the West Coast," said Chris Downie, president and chief financial officer for Telx. "Binding the PRT1 and SEA1 facilities with Telx's expanding portfolio of interconnection products such as Datacenter Connect and Metro Connect, make both facilities core regional assets. Together with our Bay Area facilities in San Francisco and Santa ClaraPRT1 and SEA1 provide both a secure touch point for new and existing clients to connect to Asia along with the ability to support power consumption in the media industry, electronic gaming market and other software services and applications."

Telx will cap its milestone year in the west coast with the launch of the first MarketplaceLIVE West event on December 5th in San Francisco, California. MarketplaceLIVE West is a unique senior leadership level experience that brings together an impressive mix of companies and Telx's global marketplace of clients for "face-to-face" networking and thought provoking sessions around new impactful technologies and industry trends.
