Kristin JohnsenAdvisory Director
Kristin Johnsen became an Advisory Director to Berkshire Partners in 2021 and works closely with the Berkshire Private Equity Technology team. She is currently involved with Berkshire portfolio companies FoodChain ID and Tango. Kristin was most recently Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Services, an enterprise consulting and support business that serves more than 13,000 customers globally, served as CEO at ZKEY, a digital identity management company, and was COO and VP of Operations at Carparts.com. Previously, she was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she specialized in client situations requiring both strategic realignment and revamped operations. She currently serves on the boards of Berkshire Partners portfolio companies FoodChainID and Access Information Management, as well as several non-profits. Kristin received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from the University of California Berkeley and an M.S. in Management Studies from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Advisory Directors are business executives or industry experts well known to Berkshire who participate in specific activities that arise in their areas of expertise, including deal origination, due diligence investigation, investment deliberation, and portfolio company advisory services.
