Jim YoungAdvisory Director
Jim Young is an Advisory Director and a member of the Digital Infrastructure team. He initially joined Berkshire Partners in 2021. Jim is involved with Berkshire portfolio companies Point Broadband and TowerNorth. Prior to joining Berkshire Partners, Jim was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Crown Castle’s Fiber Division. For more than a decade prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Crown Castle overseeing tower operations. Jim received a B.A. from DePauw University, a B.S. in Systems Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Masters of Science in Management degree from Purdue University.
Advisory Directors are business executives or industry experts well known to Berkshire who participate in specific activities that arise in their areas of expertise, including deal origination, due diligence investigation, investment deliberation, and portfolio company advisory services. Advisory Directors are independent advisors that provide consulting services to Berkshire or its portfolio companies at varying levels of engagement.
