Boston, Massachusetts, January 14, 2019— Berkshire Partners, a Boston-based investment firm, announced today that Matthew B. Gooch has joined the firm as its Director of Business Development.

Mr. Gooch will lead Berkshire’s business development activity, focusing on deal sourcing and thoughtfully partnering with management teams, business owners and advisors. Most recently, he served as the Head of European Banking at William Blair & Company. He began his career in William Blair & Company’s Chicago Corporate Finance Department in 1997 and moved to London in 2000 to help build a business there.  Mr. Gooch has extensive experience working closely with management teams and intermediaries in mergers and acquisitions, capital raises and restructurings across industries.
